Individual Awards Recipients

Each spring, MC has the opportunity to honor the lead students in the School of Business. Various criteria are accounted for, be it GPA or leadership accolades. Their vigor around the university and hard work in the classroom has not gone unnoticed or overlooked, as these students rightfully reap what they have sown with these awards. 

John Will Graham

is the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Award. This award is given to the best all-around senior in the School of Business based on scholarship, leadership, and school participation. 

John Virden

is the recipient of the Outstanding Junior in Business Administration Award. This award honors outstanding juniors who are majoring in business administration and exemplify great potential in the field. 

Drew Donahoe

is the recipient of the G.M. Rogers Memorial Award. This award is given to the graduating business administration major who has the best record in the department and shows the greatest promise. 

Isaac Davis

is the recipient of the Amy Brand Memorial Award. This award is given in memory of Amy Brand, as Assistant Professor in the School of Business, to outstanding juniors majoring in marketing. 

Catherine Landers

is the recipient of the Outstanding Marketing Major Award, which is given to the graduating marketing major based on scholarship, leadership, and school participation. 

Timothy Papania & Luke Williams

are the recipients of the Outstanding Junior in Finance Award. This award honors outstanding juniors who are majoring in finance and exemplify strong leadership in the field. 

Jonathan Harding & Chris Thomason

are the recipients of the Outstanding Finance Major Award, which is given to the top finance majors based on scholarship, leadership, and school participation. 

Lauryn Rawlins & Jacob Russell

are the recipients of the Jacqueline Jones Outstanding Junior Accounting Student Award, which is made possible by Harper Rains Knight and Company. This award honors outstanding juniors who are majoring in accounting. 

Scarlett Hodges & Seth Matthews

are the recipients of the MS Society of CPAs Award which is given to the graduating senior accounting majors with the best record in the department and show the greatest promise. 

Juliana Cooke

is the recipient of the Outstanding Governmental Accounting Award. This award honors the outstanding junior or senior accounting major with a high academic average in governmental accounting and most promise in the field of governmental financial management. 

Payton Cornish

is the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student in Accounting Award, which is given to the graduate student with the most promise in the field of accounting. 

Mackenzie Danaher

is the recipient of the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Major Award. This award is given to the graduating entrepreneurship major who has the best record in the department and shows the greatest promise. 

John Will Graham

is the recipient of the Cathy Jeffcoats Servant Leader Business Award. This award is given in memory of Cathy Jeffcoats, who spent every day serving Jesus and always saw the best in everyone,  to the business student who demonstrates outstanding service to others and the community. 

Catherine Landers

is the recipient of the June Brabham Outstanding Women in Business Award. Selected by the female business faculty, this award is given to a young woman who has demonstrated excellence, determination, and a promising future in the world of business. 

Brooke Barrett & Carrie Carley

are the recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma / Delta Mu Delta Award, which is given to the graduating senior business majors with the highest quality grade point average.
